I am Keeley Nicholas; mother, sister, daughter, friend, registered Nutritional Therapist, Functional Medicine Practitioner and Dentist
I am passionate about healthy living and eating wholesome foods that nourish the body so it functions as it should. I love cooking and discovering new recipes and I take real delight in transforming whole foods into delicious meals by combining simple, healthy ingredients.
My vision is for everyone to live a long and healthy life, to be strong in mind and body, and live a fulfilled life with vibrancy and joy. To live to a grand age without chronic illness, disease and deterioration.
The way we eat, sleep, move, our relationship with stressful events, our immediate environment and our connection to others, are major contributors to health and the wonderful thing is you can be in control of these aspects.
But…… it is so confusing in today’s world of nutrition and health, and tricky to find your way through the vast amount of information out there. What are your individual requirements? What works best for you? Should you eat real foods? Low carb? Low fat? Ketogenic? Gluten free? Dairy free? Plant based? Low FODMAP? Vegan?
I am here to support and guide you. To help you find your way through the confusion. To help you achieve your ideal weight, regain lost energy, improve your sleep and relieve digestive distress, with a personalised approach to nutrition.
I knew very little about the huge impact food can have on health before starting my Masters in Nutritional Therapy, but now I see people every day improving their health, weight and energy without feeling deprived, and this could be you….
In 2007, my sister’s health started to deteriorate following a virus, she was mummy to my two-year-old niece, but fatigued and unable to function. She was desperate to find a diagnosis and restore her health, but despite numerous doctors’ visits and trawling the internet, in an attempt to find answers, her symptoms worsened. She was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2011, but I believe this may have been avoided is she had had the support of nutritional therapy and functional medicine earlier in her journey. It was the frustration of her situation, and my inability to help and provide solutions that encouraged me to undertake a Master’s degree in Nutritional Therapy.
With support, my lovely sister is now is taking control of her own health, feeling empowered and nourishing her body to reduce symptoms and relapses, so she can live her best life every day.
I am a dentist (BDS. MFGDP). My medical background has provided me with a thorough understanding of the physiology of the body, medical conditions and medications (interactions and side effects). I have worked with patients for over 24 years, in a confidential and safe setting, which I continue into my nutritional therapy practice.
I have a Master’s degree in Nutritional Therapy (MSc).
